DESCRIPTION

Our volunteers have rescued and restored 30 old stationary steam engines , which once powered the cotton mills and woollen mills of the North of England.  Most will be running in steam on these special steaming days, from 10.00am to 4.00pm.  Admission is free , with free unlimited parking on Morrison's Supermarket Car Park site.  Young boys are fascinated seeing these great mechanical monsters in motion (and some girls too!)  Full disabled access, toilets and baby changing facilities.  Drinks and snacks in the Engine View Cafe.  An activity sheet is available for the children
