DESCRIPTION

National Tourism Awards for Wales Finalist 2015 - in the category for Best Day Out. At Corris Craft Centre you’ll find a great collection of shops, attractions and activities to keep the whole family entertained for hours. There's free parking and free WIFI available in the café too.Situated in Southern Snowdonia in Mid Wales the Corris Craft Centre boasts 9 individual craft studios  – which are octagonal shaped pods bursting with creativity – where you can meet the talented designer-makers and buy their handmade items. Perfect for finding a special something, inspired by, and handmade in Wales. There’s lots of opportunities for hands-on fun too, a surprisingly great way to unwind and have some fun with your own clever creations to take home.

Corris Craft Centre is also home to some uniquely different visitor attractions. You’ll need to venture deep in the mountains, and through a waterfall, to enter the magical world of King Arthur’s Labyrinth. Also hidden within the densely wooded mountains is an abandoned Welsh slate mine full of old relics and mining stories – you can explore it and feel it come to life with Corris Mine Explorers.

Back above ground you’ll stumble across a vibrant Welsh food and drink shop. At Bwtri y Crochan, The Larder in English, you'll find shelves of mouth-watering produce.

And, right in the middle of everything is the Y Crochan café. Serving freshly brewed coffee, Welsh tea, home made cakes and an all-day menu which is created using delicious local produce. There’s also a small children’s play area and picnic tables in the gardens.

Come and make a day of it, entry to the Corris Craft Centre is free and there’s free all day parking too.

During the winter months many of the Designer Makers take the opportunity to down tools and get creative planning designs for the season ahead. Others spend time in their workshops making to replenish their stocks. Very few studios open during this time so if you are planning to visit always phone the studios directly to see if they are open.
